For the Rafale M, it did not spoil the Rafale C in any way, moreover, the F18 is indeed a "Marine" aircraft used on land. The C is lightened by the Marine elements and is still a little more efficient.

The specifications were impossible to keep, and resulted in making the F35, and no version is ultimately what the predecessor was.

if only they had thought to make an A, B and C version of the F-35. With each optimized like the Rafale does for the C and the M. Like for example the F-35B could be used for STOVL to replace the harrier, and the F-35A instead of having a lift fan could have a fuel tank, and you could sell that to air forces that enjoy lots of fuel. my next idea would to make the F-35C for the Navy. The Navy F-35C would remove the liftfan as well, strengthen the air frame, and add a tailhook for CVNs.

Dassault won a competition in Japan for maritime patrol aircraft with Falcon 2000 MSA.

But Dassault was smart enough not to compete in Japan or Canada for fighter jets and never submitted an offer.

I was not aware of they made sure to avoid Japan so heavily, and yes I watched them drop out of Canada. but one must wonder on that one why they bothered to show up in the amount they did at all? just to show the flag?

https://www.sp-ps.ch/fr/dossiers/paix-et-securite/protection-de-lespace-aerien-suisse

"

If we have, after a common decision, made clear that this forum would become a room for trolls and counter troll, please tell me, i missed the announcement. Now, tell me, do we all have to choose a side to take back our forum between "i run for F-35, the greatest of all" or "Vive le Rafale", in which case i'll stand for F-35 as its supporters seems to be scarce on a french speaking (!) forum.

Or, maybe, could you just settle your beef in Private message and keep this thread clear? We are all grown asses here, your child games are getting boring.

For the French, I don't translate, but I really don't thank those who pissed off the Americans at home. This is exactly how you ruin a community.

The customer is king as we say at home : wink:

yes This is my point. f-35 program is a juggernaut. F-16 program did this too. They offer you a chance to build parts for not just the planes you buy, but the planes everyone else will buy too. So Italy does not just make Italian F-35s, but F-35s in the thousands for everyone. That is very hard to compete against. For better or worse I am not surprised, and I think many people get upset.

is it possible F-35 wins only on "extras" yes. but even if thats true, why are you surprised? Sorry you can't compete. France enjoys more diplomatic power than neutral Sweden, US more diplomatic power than France

you keep waiting for F-35 to fail its not failing. they plan on making 169 F-35 in the year 2022 alone. nearly 1 every other day. its meant to be unbeatable.

if we agree? then why are we argueing? and how am I "trolling"??

AD.net =The F-35 always wins

Me= The F-35 always wins.

YOU CANT say that!

But normally, I had understood that the F-35 did not have a dedicated simulator either.
