Ils doivent penser a rouvrir une chaine leclerc Make in india.

Spike missile India: Indian Army places order for Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles! In a major move to bolster its arsenal and firepower against enemies, the Indian Army is buying Spike Missiles. The order was placed under emergency purchases in order to meet operational preparedness, as per a PTI report. This move came after the central government provided powers to three armed forces to make emergency purchases. The force can make purchases of Rs 300 crore under this provision. Following the daredevil Balakot Air Strike by Indian Air Force, Indian Army in April gave its nod to procure such missiles. Finally, the order was placed in the beginning of July.

Spike missile cost, deal with Israel and technical data

1. Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles from Israel are multi-platform, cutting-edge precise, multi-mission, and multi-range electro-optical missiles. These missiles have capabilities of fire, observe, update, fire-and-forget as well as allowing attack of hidden targets.

2. Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles are manufactured by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. These missiles are famous for precision targeting and have the ability to pierce bunkers.

3. Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles have the capability of targeting anything at a range of four kilometers. These can be deployed in both plains and mountains.

4. Israeli anti-tank Spike missiles can be fired from multiple platforms such as ground launchers, helicopters, vehicles, and ships. These Spike missiles can be deployed even along the Line of Control (LoC).

India’s Army to Deploy Third Generation Anti-Tank Guided Missiles in Jammu and Kashmir

thediplomat_2016-02-09_16-52-59.jpg

https://thediplomat.com/2019/11/indias-army-to-deploy-third-generation-anti-tank-guided-missiles-in-jammu-and-kashmir/

The Indian Army has reportedly been inducting the Israeli-made Spike anti-tank guided missile system along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

he Indian Army is deploying Israeli-made Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Spike medium-range (MR) anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir to bolster the service’s defense capabilities on the Pakistan border, according to local media reports.

The service approved the import of 240 Spike ATGMs and 12 launchers as part of an “emergency purchase” to meet immediate operational requirements in April. (According to some Indian media reports, the Indian Army approved the purchase of an initial batch of 210 rather than 240 Spike ATGMs.)

In December 2017, the Indian government scrapped a $500 million deal with Rafael for 321 Spike ATGM systems and 8,356 missiles in favor of an indigenous ATGM system currently under development by India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). As I reported last year:

The cancellation of the deal has led to severe disagreements between the Indian Army’s senior leadership and the DRDO, as the service remains deeply skeptical of the DRDO-developed man portable anti-tank guided missile (MPATGM). The Indian Army leadership has reportedly stated that it does not think that the MPATGM will meet the service’s operational requirements. It is also concerned about likely delays in the induction of the new weapon system.

Indian Army successfully test-fires Spike LR missile

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/defence/indian-army-successfully-test-fires-spike-lr-missile/articleshow/72274194.cms

The Indian Army has successfully test-fired two newly-acquired Spike LR (long-range) anti-tank missiles at the Infantry School at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. In addition to fire and forget capability, the missile also has the ability to fire, observe an...

.jpg

Spike LR is a fourth generation missile that can engage a target with precision at ranges up to four km. In addition to fire and forget capability, the missile also has the ability to fire, observe and update, providing substantial flexibility to the firer to pinpoint the impact point, as also the ability to switch to a different target mid-flight, should he want to do so. The firer also has the option to fire from either low or high trajectory.

For the last nearly three decades, the Indian Army has been using now-outdated second generation missiles. The need to replace the inventory with third generation missiles was recognized nearly ten years ago. Consequently, in 2011, an RFP was floated for more than 8,000 missiles with transfer of technology to Bharat Dynamics LimitedNSE -0.92 % (BDL).

FIREARMS PUSH: India Orders >16,000 Israeli Negev Light Machineguns

https://www.livefistdefence.com/2020/03/firearms-push-india-orders-16000-israeli-negev-light-machineguns.html

In the latest in a slew of infantry firearms purchases for the Indian Army, the Indian MoD today signed a $118 million deal with Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) for 16,479 NEGEV NG7 7.62mm light machineguns (LMG). The order is a little less than half of a total requirement for 40,000 LMGs. Today’s order is the single largest order for LMGs, and adds to smaller numbers of Negev 7.62x45mm LMGs already in service.

In a statement today, the Indian MoD said, “The Indian Armed Forces’ long-standing requirement of a modern state-of-the-art Light Machine Gun (LMG) has finally fructified. The Acquisition Wing of Ministry of Defence has signed the capital acquisition contract with Israel Weapons Industries for procurement of 16,479 LMGs at a cost of Rs 880 crore with the approval of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh. “

The MoD’s statement said, “The contracted Negev 7.62X51 mm LMG is a combat proven weapon and currently used by several countries around the globe. This LMG will greatly enhance the lethality and range of a soldier vis-a-vis the presently used weapon. The provisioning of this operationally urgent and very critically needed weapon will boost the confidence of the frontline troops and provide much needed combat power to the Armed Forces.“

“The need arose from the field,” recounts Shay of IWI, the weapon engineer who was responsible for the development of the new machine gun, “from the scenarios of Afghanistan, where US troops were involved in fighting at ranges of hundreds of meters opposite enemy forces hiding behind rocks and boulders in mountainous terrain, and equally importantly – from the needs of the IDF and the scenarios in which Israeli troopers were involved over the last decades.”
