    Taiwan n'a pas l'intention de retirer ses Mirage 2000-5 E/D selon le vice-ministre de la défense.

    Taipei, Dec. 5 (CNA) Mirage fighters purchased from France have superb performance and Taiwan has no plans to decommission them ahead of schedule, Deputy National Defense Minister Lee Hsi-ming (李喜明) said on Monday.

    The Apple Daily, a local newspaper, reported that 19 years have passed since Taiwan began to take delivery of Mirage fighters in 1997.

    Taiwan has been asking France to upgrade the performance of the 56 Mirage fighter jets since 2012, but Paris has been dragging its feet, and even gave an "exorbitant" price tag, which resulted in the MND not accepting the deal, the report said.

    Possible crash d'un Su-33

    The Aviationist rapporte sur son site qu'un Su-33 se serait écrasé lors d'un atterrissage sur le Kuznetsov samedi 3 décembre.

    Jane's dans un article publié aujourd'hui annonce image a l'appui que les Su-33 embarqué sur le Kuznetsov opèrent désormais a partir de la base Humaymim.

    Écosystème militaire

    Selon des observateurs, cette mise à niveau de la flotte de F-16 marocains visent à équilibrer le rapport de force avec le voisin algérien, dont la flotte est composée en partie de Mig-29 et de SU-35 russes. Les opérateurs américains semblent également intéressé par le projet d'industrie militaire porté par le Maroc et l'Arabie Saoudite et qui devrait être opérationnel en 2019. La mise en place de cet « écosystème militaire » devrait mobiliser un investissement de 22 milliards de dollars. Le Maroc s'est rappelons-le doté d'avions de chasse américain en 2011, après l'échec des négociations pour l'acquisition du Rafale Français.

    A Russian newspaper said the loss of a MiG-29K off Syria was not due to technical difficulties on board the fighter. Instead, the cross deck pendants (CDP) on carrier Admiral Kuznetsov had snapped during the landing of a MiG-29K. The flight deck crew was unable to replace the arresting cables in time for the third jet to trap.

    All three jets were returning to land and the second aircraft damaged the second and third cable during its landing. The last aircraft was circling when both engines quit, probably due to fuel starvation.

    Luckily, the pilot ejected and was recovered.
