pascal
SLPRM MARS & SERPAM pour Mirages F1 modernisés/MF2000 MARS Mission Preparation System MARS (Mission Analysis and Restitution System) is Sagem’s mission preparation system used in modernization programs for aircraft involved in all types of missions: air-to-air, air-to-ground, reconnaissance, etc. The MARS system is used to prepare aircraft missions, from downloading digital cartographic data to creating transfer media or flight documents. It is also used to restitute the mission from the parameters recorded during the flight. With open architecture, MARS contains the latest 3D imaging technologies in an ergonomic interface, using graphic tools that allow the crew to optimally manage the tactical situation and accurately define the profile and feasibility of all types of missions. MARS can be used to prepare missions comprising up to 16 different airplanes. It offers all the standard functions: flight plans, managing route markers, flight corridors, fuel consumption, threat evaluation, conflict detection, etc. The system includes functionalities for managing air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, in particular the AASM. Consisting of a system for managing digital cartographic data and a system for preparing missions, with operational and preparatory phases, MARS operates independently in a PC environment. It is compatible with retail laptop computers. MARS is used to transfer cartographic and mission data to the plane’s avionics via a USB flash drive and create the print documents the crew requires. Following the flight, the data transferred from the plane to the station are used to playback and restitute the mission. Scratt
